Breif

This is a self set brief inspired by the topic of Flaws, Perfections, Ideals, Compromises.

A new book publishing organisation specializing in fairy tales has contacted me and asked me to put together and illustrate a new story book for them that will appeal to more of an adult audience rather than to small children. The story they have chosen to publish is a rhymed depiction of the original tale The Pied Piper Of Hamlin. This version is a rhymed adaptation of the tale by the brothers Grimm that is much darker than the tales you hear today, and is normally dumbed down to be much more suitable for children. This dark tale is what will hopefully appeal to older generations as the gruesome and scary truth behind the story we all know and love of a mysterious man dressed in vibrant colours, ridding the small town of Hamlin of its rats and eventually it's children due to the compromise of payment not being met. It will be a brilliant challenge for me to undertake.
